What's up with Dexcom Transmitters?

In April I had a bad transmitter replaced. The replacement lasted two months. It died last week. The replacement for that one, I just received today, has a use by date 93 days from when I started the current transmitter. If the current transmitter lasts beyond 90 days I would be replacing it with one that is out of date. When I called Dexcom they were not going to replace it until I convinced them it was the right thing to do. Are they trying to get rid of stuff that got lost on the shelf? Sad.

I would suspect that they are getting ready to transition to the G7 and since the G7 is made in their new Malaysia factory and there are horrendous supply chain shipping issues between Asia and the US, beyond anyone’s control, Dexcom may be caught in the squeeze and doing the best they can with what they have on hand. Would you rather they tell you sorry, we don’t have any stock that meets the full 100+ days and will deliver the G7 to you in September?
