My Dexcom G4 just buzzed, alerting me with a msg that said something like “battery low, need new transmitter” (I can’t recall the exact wording, because it’s not showing the msg anymore). I’m assuming this means the transmitter I’ve been using for a little over a year needs to be replaced. Anyone know how much use you can get out of it once that msg appears?
My experience with that G4 transmitter message means that you have, at most, two weeks until your current transmitter goes completely dead. If you don’t have the next transmitter standing by, arrange today for it’s delivery. I’ve read some reports of complete failure within a few days of the warning you received.
