My story was a few years back in '95. I was learning how to use them on my MTB. My friend thought is would be a great idea to try and ride a wheelie with the brand new pedals. Bad idea. I ended up looking like a goof as I fell back cracked my helmut and knocked the wind out of myself!!! How about you?

I was in college and I was riding over to one of the campus buildings to meet my GF at the time who was entertaining her mother from out of town. I was riding up to them and I went to stop but could not get my feet out of the pedals so I tipped over right in front of them. This wouldn’t have been so bad if it wasn’t the first time I had ever met my GF’s mother! Welcome to clipless pedals.
