When I grow up

When I was little, I knew JUST what I was going to do when I grew-up: I was going to be a princess. And here's a list of all the things I was going to do:

1. Wear big, beautiful gowns. EVERY day. With a massive bejeweled crown of gold. Or that cone-shaped hat with the flowy-material coming out of the top.

2. Ride ponies all day.

3. Host big banquets with all the ladies and gentlemen of the land, drinking from golden goblets, eating turkey drumsticks.

4. Live in a castle. With a moat. And lily pads.

5. Visit the other neighbouring princes and princesses once a week or so, depending on the weather (nobody likes a wet pony).

6. Host big balls with live orchestral music and dance carefully on glass slippers.

7. Frolic about in the nearby woods, picking orchard apples and pears and cherries, painting the distant mountains on an easel.

8. Get saved from a dragon by a charming knight clad in silver chain mail and wielding a sword heavier than me.

9. Sit on a throne. Wave a glittery scepter.

10. Have hundreds of pets. But mostly talking parrots and baby puppies.

Can anyone relate to this? I wasn't being TOO outrageous, was I?

Oh most definitely yes! I was also going to have blonde curly hair (mine is oh so straight).

Yes me too!!! I love this post and for the record you look like you could be a beautiful princess living in a castle with a dashing prince and hosting parties. You know what is so beautiful about the lives of creative imaginations like ourselves? We can live that way to a certain extent. God created us all as beautiful princes and princesses. We are considered his kids, the kids of a king. Isn’t this beautiful! I sometimes drift to my own world even as an adult. I think it necessary to have a fantasy world from time to time just to survive this world.

Thank you I so needed that today! You know I used to work at a daycare in college. I’m in HR now. Questioned it at first but I know God has a plan for me there. He told me I was to be a missionary. Being a missionary is as hard as working with kids but so so worth it! Ill never forget those little bundles of joy! Even when they were mean they were cute! Haha lets always teach our kids (and mine if I have any soon) that they really are princesses.

Wish I could figure out how to use this
