When my meter reads "high" as opposed to (some) number. how hi am i?

just getting over the flu. OMG. my BS were so high and i became very insulin resistant. i had to recalabrate the patterns on my pump.i was lucky that i was able to have gotten a flu shot and took Tamaflu immediately. my husband gave it to me. i knew i should have slept in the livingroom!!!!
LOL.

anyone out there who has been through this experience who woul like to share their winter hardships?

i have the one touch ultra (which i love and have used for the past 15 yrs or so) and it does go up to and over 500.

On the OneTouch meters HI is 600 and above. Most other meters go to 500 (I don't know any that max out at 400).

I would definitely check for ketones and stay safe!

I've had a few HIs in my life but usually due to pump problems rather than being sick. I didn't get a flu shot this year and so far only had one cold.
