Where are the forums and groups?

Are there forums and groups on the new TuD? I’m having a hard time seeing them!
Thanks

Yes, there are!

Look for the three horizontal lines, called the “hamburger” and click on it. On the homepage, it is located in the top left corner. You will then see a drop-down menu with "Discussion Groups as one of your choices. On any other page, look for your avatar near the top right corner. The hamburger will be immediately to the left. When you click on that there is a whole set of choice, including “Categories” (aka - groups).

The forums have become and there are no longer any groups. The majority of the content of the groups from the old site have been moved and organized under the forum categories. Hope that helps.

The hamburger looks like this: :point_right: :point_left:

Also, here is a link to another post which includes a screenshot of hamburger’s pull-down menu.

Actually, right now as I post this, the hamburger button is not showing up in the homepage’s top left corner. I have no idea whether this is a temporary change or whether the homepage layout has been tweaked.
O tempora! O mores! :smirk:

You can still get to the list of all topics in all categories by using the image of "discussion groups" button button on the homepage (and other pages), as @Brian_bsc pointed out in his earlier post.

I didn’t consider this, but could this be a browser/device difference?

When I go to the homepage using my MacBook Pro and Chrome browser, there is no “discussion group” button (nor is there a “my page”, “events”, “blogs” etc.

The homepage (Tudiabetes.org) should show you the banner and above the banner are the tabs as shown below:

If you don’t see this, then we have a problem.

Oooops! Yes, you’re right. It’s at least a difference between which device you visit the site with.

When I visit www.tudiabetes.org in Chrome on my iPad, then the hamburger is right there. But it’s not there when I use Chrome on my desktop.

Duh! What’s the emoji for a “dope slap”? :flushed: :frowning: :confounded:

I’ll try to remember to edit my post to include this later today …

As of a minute or so ago, this is what the homepage currently looks like … using Chrome browser on a Windows 7 desktop PC.

Basically the same, but the banner at the top has been “tweaked”. I expect this is going to happen more frequently at the moment as the layout is re-evaluated now that the site is being actively used.

The hamburger is a feature of discourse and probably as part of the WP/Discourse integration we are starting to see some of these sorts of weird things happening. The homepage is on the WP side. Let’s just be patient. Eventually the team will make both sides the same and we will no longer see any difference, it will all look and function the same.

I am having a mental problem remembering how to take a screen shot, but I have never seen the home page look like that.

Mac OS X 10.9.5 using Chrome’s latest - Version 42.0.2311.135 (64-bit).

I have three gray boxes across the top - DHF Home, Donate, Need to change your password?, followed by a Log Out button and finally a search box.
Next, I have the hamburger and tudiabetes.org. What follows is basically your screen shot.

Using Safari however, gives me a homepage that looks like what you have posted …
