Received a replacement G6 sensor with a Use By date on the box 2022-03-09 and the date on the sensor packaging says 2021-09-10. Today is 4 months after that Use By date. If they are getting rid of old stock they should at least change both dates.
I would trust the later date and be sure to request a replacement if it doesn’t perform. I’ve used many Dexcom sensors well past the expiration date stamped on the package.
I use them all the time past date as I restart them so I have a back up supply. I have had no issues with them past dates.
Dexcom got approval to extend the expiration date. They actually work well beyond the date. What it really means is the date they’ll warranty them up to for replacements.
