Wtf

Up and down day… Tested when I got home from work this afternoon/early evening, measured 4.7 (that’s even lower than my morning readings lately!)now before bed I’m at 8.5 after not much carbs. WTF! And a few days ago I was down all the way to 4.1 once. The other day I went to sleep with 9.3, friday morning I woke up with 5.6, which for me is a new record… A few years ago everytime I was checked in a clinic, I’d be in the low or mid 4 fasting. Now I’m always over 5 in the morning. And seeing way too many readings over 7.5 to feel comfortable with it… Been feeling really tired, moody and headachy all day, as if I’ve been running too high. I know I can be like that around 8… Bleh! Just the tests at clinic won’t show a thing! It’s frustrating!

I so understand. The roller coaster ride is not fun. I had a really bad endo, who was also Type 1, but he did give one piece of GOOD advice. With diabetes every day is different, and then I added to that, it is sooo not an exact science. These are the reasons we test so often, not to expect good results each time, but to see where we are at so we can correct, but all of this advice does not fix how we feel physically or emotionally.

I do find less is best with diabetes, low carb, low insulin need, less roller coaster.

Hope tomorrow is a better day for you, oooo and another piece of advice, my current endo gave me, with tighter control comes more lows. :frowning:

I’m undiagnosed. I know something is going on, but clinic checks doesn’t come up with one ■■■■. It’s so frustrating! I know I’m at least pre-diabetic after having 2h readings in the 8’s mmol/l several times, even over 9 sometimes. But the doctors just don’t listen! I often feel funny when in the 8’s, 9’s or even worse… 10! (now 10 that would be a 180mg/dl), I’ve been up at 10mmol/l several times too. I’m trying to eat healthier, but it’s difficult at work when I eat in the canteen and everything is pretty carb loaded- which I also need to manage my work which is very physical. The easiest way to explain my work is: It’s like an 8h workout at the gym! And playing table tennis in the breaks makes me work out even more LOL
