Yale survey for parents of adolescents with type 1, ages 12-18

The Yale School of Nursing and New England Research Institutes (NERI) are developing an educational internet-based program for parents of adolescents with T1DM.

You may have participated in an interview on this same topic earlier this year to provide input into the development of the prototype. Focus groups are now being held to evaluate the prototype, and everyone (whether you previously participated or not) is invited.

We are now conducting in-person (Boston, MA area) and telephone (nationwide) focus groups with parents of children between the ages of 12-18 who have been diagnosed with T1DM to provide feedback on the prototype of this program.

In the focus groups, participants will be asked to review the website and “think aloud” during the review, including specific thoughts on:
• What aspects of the website content you like or dislike;
• About the functionality of the program;
• What aspects of the website design and components are appealing or not appealing;
• How you think this website could be improved.

Focus groups will be approximately 1 hour long. If you are eligible and take part in a focus group, you will receive a gift card for $50.
