WATCH THE RECORDED LIVE ANNOUNCEMENT OF THESE AWARDEES!!

Un-certified Diabetes Educator: Melitta for her great work to help us all understand adult-onset type 1 diabetes, and the importance of its timely and accurate diagnosis. TuDiabetes Geek: Josh T. for kindly and consistently helping us all figure out why our stuff isn't working.

TuDiabetes Comedian: Rick Phillips, aka "Dr. Phil Lips", for his use of creative spelling in the chatroom, coinage of the term "diacrap", and his often hilarious blog series.

TuDiabetes Life Coach(es): David (DNS) because, as one member writes, "David is always willing to listen, make suggestions, and I just think he has marvelous judgement. He's who I want to talk to when I feel like I'm going to have a meltdown with my diabetes."

AND

AND

David (DNS) for "coming up with interesting fare" and because he's always cooking something.

Shoshana27 for cooking fresh, healthy, kosher meals for herself and avoiding processed foods.

Active Lifestyle Fan: acidrock, who "is an athlete AND a supporter of all who come here to share there stories, and is always ready to give information on how to mange blood glucoses while exercising."

TuDiabetes Crusader: Seagator for welcoming all new members to our community, sending us all birthday wishes, and "preaching TuDiabetes everywhere he goes".

AND

Melitta "for her tireless efforts to educate anyone who will spare a moment about type 1 diabetes. A scientist by training, her points are backed by thorough and dogged research which is then presented with crystal clarity."

AND

MelissaBL because "when it comes to standing up for PWD everywhere, there is no one in our community more determined, relentless, or articulate."

And our new award, the posthumous "D-Angel" award, goes to our dear jrtpup, for being mom, therapist, confidant, sister and friend to so many in this community. Forever in our hearts!

*blushes* thanks for your support those of you who voted and thanks to everyone else who is recognized here. And everyone else who voted for everyone else. And everyone here who helped, like Jerry Nairn and the rest of the "Diabetics Who Run Marathons" krew. Raceready shorts forever!

77 years though, and posting away on the internet like a teenager, way to go Shoshana27, absolutely fantastic and amazing!

(Turning bright red and scuffing the ground with one foot)

Mega thanks to everyone who voted. I can't put into words how much your confidence means or how touched I am to be the recipient of it. Dang.

And I can't address this without saying how HUGELY honored I feel to be included with Shoshana. Standing alongside her means more to me than any award; she is a never ending inspiration to all of us. Hugs!

Congratulations everyone for going up and beyond. Job well done.

As always when these rewards threads come up I want to say that everyone who contributes to these forums brings their own unique experience and point of view and might say the one thing that someone needs to hear that day!

Way to go Gator!

I second that, Zoe! This is an incredible community, and everyone in it makes their own special and unique contributions. If we could give out 32,593 awards, we would!

I am crying because I am so deeply proud to consider most of these people my close friends......

Congrats to you all. I thank you for everything you have given all of us.

Thank you, dear voters! I am so honored, and what a great group to be amongst. And love the posthumous award for jrtpup (Barbara). Wow!

I feel very honored.

-Lloyd

Congrats ALL ...you deserve ... and I have been amiss in posting, visiting regularly ...BUT TuD is always on my mind !!

Congrats to all the winners and all in this wonderful and pragmatic community!

Thank you so much, I am truly speechless. There are so many deserving people and I feel so honored to be named as a winner. I also know that there is no way I oculd be a winner without the encouragement of JRTPUP, Barbara, and Marie. Both encouraged me so much to keep writing blogs.

I also take constant inspiration from my mom who was a diabetic and gave me an endless source of stories and the curiosity to explore them.

Thank you to the entire community, this is really something that I share with everyone who have given me such incredible encouragement.

Thank you so much

Dr. Phil Lips.

Congratulations to everyone!!! Totally deserved by all who received an award!

CONGRATS to everyone, you and many others who did not win this time.
You all do a wonderful job in shaping this community all over again. Thanks for what you all do!

My congratulations to all as well. Your awards are well deserved.

Congrats to all, I’ve learned so much from all of you and others on this website since my diagnosis in January!

My congratulations to all Awardees. Great to see that the collective wisdom of TuDiabetes comes to very satisfying conclusions - and that with more than 30000 members.

I want to congratulate every award winner. You are all so awesome and deserving of our adoration and respect.

God Bless,
Brunetta
