What kind of salad was it? I love bacon and a hard boiled egg on spinach salad w vinaigrette.

Just the house salad as part of a lunch combo but it was yummy!

it’s from Fine Cooking Magazine (my fav) and it’s from their “how to cook without recipes” series. It’s like a basic recipe that has hundreds of variations.
OMG does that look good, Marie. You talked me into it. Come to think of it, I haven’t made meat loaf in a while, it’s overdue anyway. Think I’ll throw in some red wine, too. Wonderful. 
Now if I could only find someone who would make me a fruitcake without any nuts . . .
I heard that bacon is the one meat that vegetarians cannot refuse. I have a special place in my heart for bacon as I met my wife of almost thirty years after being named Montana’s Pork All American many years ago.

so, i guess my diabetes don’t like, bacon,.
Lately I’ve been having a slice of my buttermilk whole wheat bread toasted with a slice of ham and some gruyere cheese melted on top in the 'wave for breakfast but…a couple of slices of bacon on top of the cheese instead of the ham makes for a quiche-like serving instead. Hmm…and in summer, a slice of garden fresh beefsteak tomato… 
Not even turkey bacon? That is a crying shame!
