Carb question

how many carbs are in a red apple?

The carb list I use says "one small unpeeled apple = 15". There are several carb lists in all forms: apps for your phone, online (calorieking.com) and ones you can print or get in a book. I know most things I eat regularly pretty well by now but I still use my list on a regular basis.

google it red apples/calorie and carbs

I weigh it and multiply wt in gm by its carb factor. (0.12 for apples)

Fruit is a hard thing to accurately count because it depends on the ripeness. Of course, the weight is a critical factor. Large or small doesn't help since how large is large & how small is small?

The monster Fuji apples at the Korean grocery store in town seem like they'd have about a burrito's worth of carbs in them?

I found some apples that have the carbs on the bag...should I count that as accurate?

Not really because they're not going to be the same size or ripeness.

It depends on the size of the apple but the best way is the answer that Jen gave. Weigh it and use the carb factor seems to be the best way to get the exact measurement for carbs.

Seemingly simple question, but obviously not as the thread attests. These days I think less about about how many carbs are in an apple, then simply enjoying a few slices once a day.

wash and eat the skin ...fiber !!
