CareLink Upload Trouble Anyone?

I haven’t seen any recent posts about this topic, so thought I would start a new one. I’m on a Mac, OS X Catalina with Safari 13 as my main browser. The upload keeps quitting with an error that has something to do with Java.

I’ve done all the “permissions”. One solve from 2018 was, in Website Preferences, clicking on the Java plugin and allowing its use. The only plugin that shows here for me is Flash. No luck in the latest version of Chrome either.

I’ve also been using the Libre Sensors and LibreView, but I can’t get any kind of detailed report. All it gives me is a big table of individual blood sugar readings. I’m wondering if I should go back to using my big clunky phone so that I can use LibreLink.

I need data!

Can anyone help? (have been waiting in Medtronic support phone queue for 25 minutes) Thank you!

I might be able to help, a little. The carelink site says it works with safari version 11. That usually means it should work with later versions. I suggest calling the help line they have a good carelink help branch. I would do it in mid to late morning.

This is where I am reading from:

The 800 number for Medtronic is

1-800-646-4633

What I recall is that in even in the MAC environment carelink no longer uses Java for its upload function. I may be wrong about that, I know it no longer uses it in the windows environment.

I am a Medtronic ambassador. My opinions are my own. They did not pay me to say nice things. OK, they sent me a shirt and a cup but even I am more expensive than that.

Thanks for trying to help. I haven’t seen anywhere on the Medtronic site that any Mac OS after 10 is supported. I hate being caught up in the OS update dilemma.

I’m trying the Medtronic phone number again, but having already waiting 30 minutes yesterday… I’d better keep an eye on my bg numbers as the stress is increasing!

Late to the party here, but I have the 670g and just started using Tidepool to upload data. Not sure if it works with earlier pump versions, but it’s quite user friendly, and gives you a lot more info than Carelink. :grinning:
