I am considering CGM, and am leaning towards the Dexcom 7 Plus. I have read the many discussions here, and think that this would best suit my needs. I work as a flight nurse on a helicopter, as well as often wear clothes without extra pockets. Does anyone know if there is a case available for receiver? If not, what do others do to secure their receivers? Thanks.
Without double checking that the Dexcom is wireless like my cgm from minimed for my pump. Mine can be turned off if I am going to fly. You may not want to wear them while in flight as it may interfer with navigation.

David: The Dexcom 7-Plus comes with a nifty small clip-on case for the receriver that can be attached to a belt, the edge of a pair of pants or any other piece of clothing. I have been using the Dex for a number of years and, in addition to its other advantages I genuinely appreciate the superb customer service at Dexcom. I have never had anything but a superior response there.
My son is currently using a Spibelt. He prefers it to the belt clips. You have to unzip it to check the reading, but he is more comfortable with it, so I’m not arguing with him.
Hey David-I’m an office worker, and the clip on belt works best for me. My daughter is a barrista at starbucks, and they sell a “sports case” on the dexcom website, but to tell you the truth, it’s working for her right now, but the clip part of it is a little loose for such an active job. I think I am going to get her a spibelt, as mentioned in the post above. I know she going to say “mom, really, a FUNNY PACK!”, but it looks thin enough to fit under clothing, and I’m hoping it’s large enough to fit both the reciever and her pump, so she can stop dropping both pieces of expensive medical equipment on the floor!
She keeps skins on both, but, I think having them secure against her body will work better. Plus then, maybe she’ll pay attention and feel it when they vibrate to alarm or alert her.
The cellphone case was for an LG VX8550. They can still be found on internet for around $10. The description will say original Verizon version with bonus wrist strap. I still have a spare one in its original package, and the barcode says LG8550CAS. I wish DEX could get their act together and use this case, because it is perfect.
I have issues with the case supplied by Dexcom. I wear it on my jeans - no belt - and it’s fallen off a number of times getting out of the car (thigh pushing up against it?). I like the Tally Gear tummitote belt with a clear window. It has a number of pockets, very comfy (good for sleeping too). I almost never wear a tucked-in shirt so just have to lift my shirt to see my dex thru th clear window.
Oops. Now I see the model number above. I tried to erase a message to George about the specific case but saw it further back. I can’t erase a message without entering replacement text. I guess there is no way to just delete the message. Sorry.
