Hope the IV antibiotics do the job and good thing you are getting proper care. Thinking of you and sending hugs!
Will pray for you here. Donāt stress, just relax and get well.
Hugs, prayers and healing white light to you, Cynthia.
Sending you healing and healthy wishes for a quick recovery which breaks the cycle.
Always remember the power of visualizing your body in a healthy state, as mind-body connection works in mysterious and profound ways.
Deep breaths and know we are all sending you our love.
@cynthia_rogers, I continue to worry and pray for you. I hope you get this under control quickly and get out of that hospital.
What perfect timing for a nice message! Up restless in this hospital bed not feeling too hotā¦
Blood sugars and spirits good, sepsis under control, incision in leg looking good, may have a hand surgery today to get at another infection sight and take down the cellulitis there.
Still no infection to be found but blood cultures have come back negative and nothing on heart.
The mystery continues!
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. Iād like to be home (although the dining menu is pretty good! ) but the care has been amazing and itās the right place to beā¦
Itās nothing an immunologist, cardiologist, infectious disease specialist, wound care team and Sherlock Holmes himself wonāt figure out!

@Brian_BSC thanks!! This made my morning. I was feeling yuck and voila!! This sweet note from you. Thank you. It helped a lot!
Any Nanaimo bars on that menu?
Seriously, I hope you continue to improve and the source of your mystery infection is discovered. Many hugs, Cynthia!
Iām happy to read the latest news. It seems youāve turned a corner. I hope the mystery infection is identified. They must be treating you with a ābest guessā antibiotic that is showing promise. Be well. Iāll try to make the live video tomorrow.
How are you doing, @cynthia_rogers? Iāve been thinking of you!
Me, too.
Cynthia, Iām starting to worry because we havenāt heard from you in a āwhileā (longer than usual for you, that is)ā¦ Not meaning to nag or pressure you into replying, though. Just more concerned.
Hello, Hello!
Thanks everyone for your thoughts and care.
I had composed an update from the hospital that I thought I had sent but perhaps with all of the IV morphine I had only composed it in my mind!
I am home and feeling better each day. I am still a little exhausted and have a large gaping hole in my leg that requires the wound care clinic every other day. Other than thatā¦just lots of medical appointments to continue to try and figure out what is at the root of this.
All of you helped me so much to stay positive and cared for along the way.
Thank you Thank You Diabetes family!
P.Sā¦It is a good thing they let me go home! I was beginning to resemble a crazy person and really needed to wash that hair! LOL and Hugs
Wow, what a nightmare you have experienced. Keep healing and feel better!
You know youāre starting to feel better when you can worry about your hair!
there is nothing like that desire to wash your hair when you havenāt done so in 2 weeks. Iāll never forget the kind nurse who wheeled me down on a stretcher to some special wash room and washed my hair while I was on the stretcher with some special basin.
Cynthia
You are so cute!!!
Even with the crazy hair!!!
Glad you are in the mend.
Sending you best wishes for a continuing recovery!
So glad that you are home and feeling a bit better. Hope you continue to improve each day!
Thank you sooooo much!! ļø:blush:
Itās such a relief to have you back! ļø
