Christmas Day BG's

Merry Christmas to all my tudiabetes friends. Curious to see what kind of BG's we will have after our big holiday meal today.

I didn't start out very well this morning with a bg of 146. Hope I improve as the day goes on.

I was 60 when I woke up and administered a cake ball and a glass of milk, then was 55 a bit later. Boozed it up last night, perhaps substantiating my theory about impairing dawn phenomenon. Put presents together, now MrsAcidRock and junior are doing karaoke w/ new toy while I yutz around w/ the Nook....

Woke up at 4am at 46. Ate a homemade Cinnamon roll went back to bed and woke up at 125. Unfortunately I didn't get to really appreciate how good it was since I woofed it down in about 30 seconds. It was my first and probably last roll this year for me:(.

LOL...ran up to 166 post cake ball, glass of milk and perhaps 6 skittles, thinking I was running low maybe whatever going on. Oh well. CGM a bit laggy, bolused for 45G of carbs, and turned pump up to 200% basal "just in case" I ate another cake ball. Instead, I had omlette (ham, chives, cheese) and small bowl of Lucky Charms, maybe ought to have had a bit bigger bowl as I ran down to 46 after that, but making potatoes now which will have plenty of carbs. I'd like to get a run in as it's really nice out!

After a huge tidy up before The Day I have mislaid my meter, so have no idea. About to go on a Big Game Hunt to find it.

So far pretty bad but I won't get into details.

Before dinner I was at 81 then 2 hours after dinner @ 87. Had red velvet cheese cake for desert. Yum Yum

Started the day at 156 and did a correction (slightly naughty the previous evening). When the eating began in earnest I was at 71. Sneaked a piece of fudge while Mrs Stemwinder wasn't looking. I was 177 after 2hrs. I just made my second correction of the day and not doing to bad but who knows the day's not over. :-)

I woke up at 3.4 (61 mg/dl) and ate some Skittles. An hour later was 8.5 (153 mg/dl) so bolused for breakfast (really brunch) which was a piece of toast and eggs and sausage and coffee. About an hour after breakfast broke down and had some chocolate! Two hours after breakfast am at 10.6 (191 mg/dl) so corrected that. But really it's only an hour after the chocolate so that's probably why I'm high. Haven't had lunch yet or the big dinner, so we will see what happens ...

Started at 125, but after a Christmas-breakfast with lots of carbs I was 245, so I went for a 2-mile run and after that my bg was 150. Before dinner I was 110 and after dinner I even had a low at 60. I'm quite pleased with my readings, since it's christmas-day..

My morning was 80. Still got a couple hours and a dozen cookies to go before I take the evening count. OKay...I'm kidding about the cookies.

Fastoing bgs have been fantastic. Woke up at 95 this morning after a huge Christmas Eve dinner. Kept it below 150 postmeal last night which was an accomplishment after bolusing for 80g of carbs. Christmas dinner was an epic fail. I blame inactivity more than anything else. Haven’t been to the gym in a week.

My daughter woke up at 109, 2 hours after breakfast she was 89 and 2 hours after lunch she was 102. Not too bad...we still have dinner and cheese cake tonight.

This is my best day in a while. Woke up at 100, 112 at lunch, dropped to 71 around 2:00 and corrected to 125. Then I was at 116 at dinner. 2 hours later I'm at 81. As long as I don't mess things up in the next 3 hours, I'll say this is my best day of the month :D

Final evening BG was 185. Was I a bad boy?

I daresay it looks like a Christmas Tree?

My day wasn't to bad. Started off @ 95...HIGHEST spike was 163, but that was due to being unhooked for about an hour between shower and changing pump site. Other than that higest I've been all day today was 141. Even with lots of carby goodness I've been mostly all day today between 80 and low 100's. Ending the day @ 87. Not too bad.

Well the rest of my day has been 9.5 (171 mg/dl) after lunch, 10.1 (182 mg/dl) before dinner, and 15.1 (272 mg/dl) after dinner. Not the best day by a long shot but hopefully tomorrow will be better!

I woke up at 85, snacked too much on egg nog frosting (first diabetic holiday-- literally I forgot that I had diabetes while cooking) so I shot up to 323 (cue immense guilt) about an hour before dinner, took corrective insulin and coverage for dinner but apparently overdid it because I went up and down between 65 and 99 for roughly three hours. I was 215 then 229 around dessert, and haven't tested since- my fingers plead for reprieve.

And my before bed BG is still up at 14.6 (263 mg/dl), so I will correct that and see what the morning holds ...
