March 24, 2011 - No getting sick…tired through the day though. Don’t know if that’s from the Victoza though. Got plenty of sleep so that’s not it, but it’s not unusual for me to be tired during my day. Had 7 crackers with ham salad for bedtime snack last night and tested with a 147 reading during the middle of the night, and around 145 upon waking. No more crackers as a bedtime snack.
However, within a couple hours the number was 105 and it’s been low the rest of the day. It’s 2.5 hours after lunch and it’s 97. Love that the lack of appitite continues. I’m finding myself actually having to make myself eat since the Doctor said to be sure to keep with three meals a day and a couple of 15 carb snacks if I want serious weight loss. Imagine having to make yourself eat! That’s not happened to me since I don’t remember when.
I do worry about the newness of this drug. It appears to be a miracle and there is that saying that if it seems too good to be true, it usually isn’t. I just pray these low counts and my appetite loss doesn’t turn out to be the expense of my health in some other way. But what’s a person to do? High numbers and overweight is a risk too, but which has more risk…that or Victoza? I just wish I knew for sure. I’d be much happier with my successes now if I knew.
I love not having to force myself not to eat and to be constantly thinking of food and my numbers. It’s giving me a better quality of life this way I think. So for that reason I’m staying with Victoza and praying it’s what it looks like…a great help to those of us with Diabetes! Besides, I’m only on day 2…
Dinner…made a big pot of fresh chicken vegetable soup and at a good size bowl full… 1 hour after eating BG 147…2 hours after eating BG 108. Loving the numbers!
BED TIME…BG 111 and just took shot 3 of Victoza, ate three spoonfuls of Vegetable Chicken Soup so I’d have something in my stomach on going to bed. Hopefully tomorrow I’ll find I have more energy. Night Night!
