I really missed drinking milk every morning for breakfast and just tried Blue Diamonds Unsweetened Almond Breeze. It is wonderful and only 1 net gram of Carbs per cup. I add just tiny bit of stevia sweetner and it works great. Just thought I might pass the info on for anyone else who might be missing milk in thier diet. Oh, it also has lots of calcuim 50% more than in regluar milk.
Hi sue. I cut my baking way back, thanks to keeping my carbs in check and having Celiac Disease. However, when I do bake, I prefer almond milk or coconut milk to all the other type milks. I think they both help to give a richer taste; the almond milk has fewer carbs which is nice. Also, I understand that dairy destroys the antioxidants, etc. in tea, so I like being able to have tea with my muffin or whatever baked item I’m indulging in.
