I am in the process in setting up my new system, 64 bit with Windows 7, I was using Windows 2000. My question, what is the current situation with EZManager Max & Windows 7, will it work? I know there has been a lot of discussion on this topic in the past I just wanted to know the current state of compatibility.
I didn’t have a problem at all. I can’t remember the exact details but I don’t think you have to have EZManager on the computer to load Diasend (just in case EZ dosen’t load you can try to use the Diasend) - I think the only reason you need the software to load Diasend is for the driver for the “dongle” but I think Windows found and installed the driver on it’s own when I plugged it in. Sorry I am fuzzy on the details but I didn’t encounter any problems whatsoever when I put both on my 64 bit Windows 7 machine.
I also have both on my 64 bit Win 7 notebook, though I never use the EZ Manager. No issues installing either. Give Diasend a try
I’ve only recently got a wireless internet connection as opposed to dial-up (the drawbacks of living in the country) & Diasend doesn’t work on Windows 2000 so I haven’t tried it yet, but looking forward to it. I’ll let you know how this all goes.
I have used the EZ Manager on my Windows 7 computer, but, wanted to ask what is “Diasend” & does it work well?
Diasend works very well. My endo and CDE like it, it shows up on any computer that I am on that has the Diasend program loaded on to it. The reports are onderful; easy to read, complete and show trends and percentages. They track blood sugal levels, insulin usage and bolus/basel records.
My only complaint is with the “Dongle.” I think the engineers at Animas/Johnson & Johnson copuld have dome up with something better than that for downloading the pump information to the computer. It seems as if the pump and the dongle must be perfectly aligned to make the process work. Beyond that, I have found that the system works best when there are no other programs running such as office, or any internet browsing through Firefox or Google.
I like Diasend a lot more than EZ Manager. Agree with Brian re: the dongle/uploading, but it’s worth it.
Thanks, I will give it a try!
So, I got my ping about 2 mos ago, ordered the free skin and the softward via phone... and almost a month later they are still not here. What's up with that? Anyone else have that problem?
