It seems that everything is on the way, for me getting a new pump (Vibe)... I am just not sure which software I can use... I know that Diasend works with Vibe, but I am not really into Web applications for storing my personal medical data...
I got confirmation from Animas Sales Rep here in Austria, where I live, that EzManager Max does not support Vibe... What about EzManager itself? Has somebody any experience with that? Or perhaps any other software that supports Animas and Vibe?
I bought a Ping two years ago and have never been able to use EZ Manager. It is not supported for anything past Windows XP. I could never even use it with Windows 7. I also would not expect that there is any support within it for the CGM portion of the Vibe.
I use Diasend and can download my Ping and my Dexcom CGM. Unfortunately the Vibe is not yet approved in the USA, but I would expect that the Vibe would download to Diasend. I am just not worried about using a web-based service. I used Carelink for years with Medtronic and then moved to Diasend. But if you are uncomfortable with that, I don’t think that EZ Manager will be your solution.
I am trying to create my own solution... I am computer developer and I have been working for years on application called GNU Gluco Control... Now that I have Vibe, next step is to read data from it... EzManager Max is written in java, which is why I am trying to get copy of it. I know that Vibe is not supported there, but at least I could see how communication is done for older models and go from there (I don't think they made any big changes, just added additional data which needs to be read). I really don't like having my data on web, especially this, but I would go with this, if I could at least export data, so that I could import it into my software. I have special reports for my doctor, which I will now have to do by hand... I was told that they had export function, but they removed it...
Which EzManager did you try, normal version or Max?
Me again... Perhaps you should use EzManager Max,,, I just got copy of it and it supports pumps till Ping (not my Vibe though) and install was quite painless on my Windows 7 machine... I know that EzManager is very old software, which runs only on Windows and probably doesn't have support for Ping, but if you wish you could probably use EzManager Max...
Thanks for letting me know about that, Andy. I probably won’t bother though. I am satisfied with Diasend especially now that I can download my Dexcom also.
I’m not quite sure what your question is. Diasend now allows the downloading of the Dexcom G4 for USA residents. In the past, it has only been allowed for European users and some people set up their Diasend acct pretending that they were from Italy or some country that also uses mg/dl. The advantage of downloading my pump, meters, and CGM to the same program is that there are some joint reports where I can include and compare the info from all of my devices.
I just wanted to let you know that latest version of GGC (0.6.1) supports Animas (1200 -> Vibe) with all CGMS data, and we also support Dexcom G4, so you could have all data in one software… I am just working on changing reports and graphs so that they will be able to display both data (in same Graph, Report)…
