Last year when I moved into my apt I somehow misplaced the transmitter and receiver. I found my receiver but still can't find my transmitter. My insurance at work has ended and waiting for Masshealth/commonwealth care to be approved.
Once that is approved, should I get a new transmitter or should I get an auth for the new one? I really feel I need to be back on the CGM since my hospitalization in January, my sugar levels has been all over the place and I am doing the correct carb counting but it would be helpful to see where I am at. So any suggestions will be healpful. Also if I am able to get the newer one what can I do with the old one and the old fusion sets?
My insurance is changing so I am waiting for that. Once I can get the insurance straightened out I can then see about getting the new one. And I was in the hospital and wished I had my transmitter for my Dexcom because that wouldve of been helpful while in hospital. But what can I do with the old receiver and the old pods for the transmitter?
I hope to get my new insurance soon! I have appts coming up.
Hi Amy - have you contacted Dexcom, or better yet, a local Dexcom rep ? They might know of a 'spare' old transmitter for you to use until you can get the new Gen4.
I assume you currently have Dexcom Seven plus receiver and some Seven Plus sensors ?
I do. and for the life of me I couldn't remember it was called sensors. I dont know if I have the email address to the local dexcom rep. I could try and see what they can do for me
I emailed my local rep I dealt with in my area who set me up with the dexcom 7...She thinks it would be best to switch over to the G4. I replied back to her to let her know what my status on for insurance and my financial situation. So far today that is a good news I've heard for quite some time! I am so hoping there is assistance in getting me back to using a CGM. It would be soooooooo helpful right now.
