Well on the 29th November 2007 I was put on a Minimed Insulin Pump. Up until this date I had not been able to get my BGL in any order and was feeling sick all of the time. I had seen my dietican so many times to no avail. My specialist suggested I see a pump counsellor. Her words to me “If you can get an appointment to see a Diabetes Educator at the Hospital you have a great chance of getting a pump” Well, guess what, I rang and rang until someone spoke to me and made an appointment to see me.
Since then I have never felt better. My levels now range between 5.3 and 7.9 - depending on the day (You know how it is!!) I have not been to the hospital and have battled the flu and come thru the other side unscathed.
I promise to keep the blog up-to-date. On Thursday 27th March I am actually getting my own pump. The one I have has is a loaner. I will let you know how I go
