Insulin pump, glucometer computer programs

I have a 8-month old pump and a 1-month old computer. I never paid attention to it before I got the computer, but I was wondering if there is a program/link that can help me keep better track of my numbers and doses of insulin. I am getting bored with my manual graph charting and often put it off for a couple of weeks at a time. By that time, the bolus history has erased at least a week’s worth of info that my endo could use. Remember, me no techno geek … or rich … so it has to be simple and cheap!

I see that you use a Medtronic pump. You can get something called a MiniLink, which you plug into your computer and it lets you download everything from your pump. Check out this website, which is an online logbook.

I just started on the Minimed pump and haven’t started to use it yet. So hopefully others can give more advice!

Yes, great topic. I will be waiting for the inputs from other members.

Kristin:

I’ve already called a Medtronic supervisor to check that out. Now … will this help with the AccuChek Compact Plus meter? Or do I have to get another “communicator thingie” with that and another program to mix them together? If you can’t answer this one, I’ll just wait until after the weekend and try to get somebody … ANYBODY … on the phone!

Thanx!
