Sorry about that. My supermarket carries it & I live in the sticks. Another option is combining cream & water. Though not as few carbs as unsweetened almond milk, it still has less carbs than milk. You can also make your own almond milk. All you need is almonds & water.
Thanks, BadMoon. I do sometimes put a bunch of nuts and seeds in with yogurt and fruit, but it just isn’t the same as my old favorite breakfast, yogurt, fruit and granola. Oh well. Fortunately I like eggs in many forms and I have found I can eat homemade refried black beans and it is much kinder than bread to my blood sugar. You take what you can get!
A link to make almond milk http://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-Milk-an-Almond-fresh-homemad…. Bet is tastes better than anything bought & is cheaper, too.
My recipe tastes like granola, minus the oats. Roasting the seeds & choppped nuts with coconut flakes, oil, cinnamon, vanilla & maple extract gives it a familiar granola taste that’s different from nuts & seeds in yogurt. Added bonus–it makes the kitchen smell great:)
I really like fiber one honey clusters. Ok, it’s not low in carbs, but is it ever high in fiber. I love it with low fat vanilla yogurt. I use Dannon light and fit vanilla. Oh my, I may need to go get some right now.

Thanks for the links and suggestions. I’m going to try this for sure.
I’ve not tried making almond milk, so let me know what you think. I’d should make it because the brand I use has lecithin (soy) & I avoid soy.
Ground flax seed with balkan yogurt. Yummy and very diabetic friendly. Heart friendly too.
Ok, you’ve convinced me; I’m going to scroll back in this thread for the recipe!
Special K with Chocolate is 57 on the glycemic index so may not spike as high as some others (Cheerios are 76 on GI). But definitely regular carb. Low carb, sugar free hot oatmeal packets, such as Maple sugar and brown cinnamon by Masters Choice (A&P). 18 grams per serving. Will spike same as regular instant oatmeal but less because there is less of a glycemic load and other oatmeals are at least 26 grams plus.
Hi Patricia, I found one that is pretty good called HI-Low from Nutritious Living Maple Pcan flavor yields 13g carbs per 1/2 C. they also have Vanilla Almond. www.nutritiousliving.com, good luck!

Gerri, You are the low carb goddess! I can’t wait to try your stuffing recipe!
