I’m down like a fraction of a pound, weighing in at 262.8… ah well… at least it’s still DOWN! I am going to the diabetes doctor friday so am keeping track very close to what I eat (journaling) so maybe we can tell exactly what causes the ups and downs of my readings. but am still on antibiotics with the ear infection, too, so who knows if that effects it… anyway, will let ya know how it goes! I hate new doctors coz you don’t know what to expect from them!

Staying at 226, no change, better than going up. Still at a net loss of 42 pounds.

As for me; I’ve gone thru the yo-yo the past couple of weeks.
This morning I’ve managed to somehow slide down a tiny bit:)
181 down 1/2 halfpound! ahh…We’ll see how much going on Fortamet will help me to keep better numbers and maybe lose some weight.

I haven’t weighed myself today. But last week, I was still at 288. Not to worry, though…things I couldn’t wear before, I can now wear, and a pair of shorts I used to wear all the time, and already altered once to make smaller, is now falling off. I FEEL smaller, and my face LOOKS smaller – no extra chins! And I’m walking better, without huffing and puffing. I actually walked around the store yesterday without my cane. Okay, I still had the cart to lean on, but I had to get into the store without the cane, which was not insignificant.
I’m down another lb to 261.8! I’m so pleased!!! I have lost a total of 56.2 lbs from my all time high of 318! I love it when I get to see those BIG numbers going down!!! Hope everyone has a great week!!!

Hey Connie, I totally agree with you! Watching the big numbers get small makes our days feel sooo good!
We’ll keep pluggin along and our numbers and health will get sooo much better.
The numbers down and the energy will go up. ahhh… the ability to go out and “play” with the kids instead of watching them.

i’ve lost about 2 kg in the past week since going on metformin. and of course going for lots of runs and swims. that’s about 4.5lbs. anyway i’m off for another run now, see ya folks!

Way to go! I’ve started the generic of Metformin it is Fortamet. I’m going slower than you with the weight loss… I took off a few days of insanity with food. Right now I’m dealing with constipation.Yuck! I think It might be due to the other medicine that I got at the same time. ( Lipitor and Lisinopril) plus the baby apsirin preventive. I’m sure, I should be showing a downhill trend soon too:)

I’ve been gone on purpose for a while! I will do the weigh in again on Monday. I got on the treadmill this morning for the first time in a while. I want to be a healthy active person. Sometimes amidst kids and pets and craziness, the stress makes me just want to eat. I’m gonna do better!

I weighed in and i’m holding at 213 pounds… down 13 lbs from when I started at about 226lbs. Its been about 5 weeks now. and althought it don’t sound like much… for me losing weight is a bit of a side effect, as I’m working on my diet to try and lower my blood sugars… Oh and Its almost all lost from around the waist… I had to get a belt for work because my uniform pants that had fit pefectly wouldn’t stay up anymore…

I’ve lost approximately 2 more kilos. That’s 4.4lbs. Only five more kilos to my target weight, and then some. Trouble is with having a relatively big build for an Asian girl, I don’t know how much I should aim to lose. And when I say big build, I mean I’ve got naturally big bones and urgh, muscular legs.
good for you keep up the good work. It’s not easy to loose weight for anybody. I started trying the second week of august and at the time of my drs appointment I had lost 1 lb. I have decided not to weigh myself at home. I am getting
weighed at the drs off. every three months. It’s better for me because I would be on th scales everyday and I just really don’t want to do that.

Not so good here. I didn’t want to weigh myself because I hate the scale, but I did and I haven’t lost anything since my last doctor’s appoinment (back in Sept.). I have been exercising everyday. It’s very frustrating, I just want to through my scales out the door. I don’t get on them much at all.
