My medical bracelet is this one here: http://www.tah-handcrafted-jewelry.com/Bracelets/Bracelet-18.0.htm

Totally durable and I never have to take it off because there are no breakable parts! Love it. I actually get compliments on my “pretty bracelet” from people who don’t even know it’s a Med ID.

I just ordered an ID bracelet yesterday. Asked my endo what I should put on it and she said “Diabetes Type-1”

I have a metal guitar pick necklace that is functional. Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath…) used metal picks. I used to use really heavy strings on my guitar (.013) and it works nicely for that but have laid off using the ID pick as I’ve moved to lighter strings the last couple of years.

It also was useful to have diabetes as I replaced the beaded stainless chain w/ a “nicer” (still like $2.99 but well ya know…) chain with links and took it to the jewelry store, I was like “uh yeah, sure, whenever” but the lady saw the diabetes stuff and exclaimed “oh, it’s an emergency, we’ll get it done right away” even though it was right before Xmas.

Thanks everyone for your comments!
