My Travel Workouts

Hey there!

I got a lot of responses to my crossfit-style World Diabetes Day workout video. So I decided to blog a bit more about my workouts. I posted it here--

the gist of it--
Exercise is essential for both type1 and type2 diabetics... and for all human beings! So I dont let my world traveling stop me from exercising. Occasional stop by a gym while I'm backpacking around the world. But its not always necessary. You can do a lot for your fitness with your own body, and a few items if you have. I carry gymnastic rings and a jump rope with me, but you can even do without that. Here are some of my exercises--

  • Pushups
  • Situps
  • Squats
  • Lunges
  • Pistols (1 legged squats!)
  • Pullups (if you have rings or find a bar somewhere, soccer goal posts work great!)
  • Dips
  • Wall handstand pushups
  • Running
  • Swimming
  • Jumping (find a park bench or rock)
  • Jump Rope
If you have a moment, stop by my blog for some more--

Love the crossfit thing. Saw the video on you blog. Somehow I already did it instinctually but would like to know more.
Keep it up!

thanks Acquafortis!

Id HIGHLY suggest finding a crossfit gym near you and taking some classes. I’ve always been active and gone to gyms, but I do things TOTALLY different, and much more effectively now because of Crossfit.

Thank you! I do not know if they do classes somewhere near me in Rome.
Went to gyms when I practised sport on competitive level. Then I started doing various sports on my own. Prefer my body to be my own weights or nature to provide the challenge. It is different every day.
