My friends asked me the other day whether i had a name for my pump, but id never thought about that, does anyone here have a name for their pump?
I call it my pancreas. Ppl laugh. I laugh. Not really a name though in the sense you asked about.

i decided to call mine steph.
it’s a wierd name for a pump (i wanted to call it hetty), but the name steph/stephanie is very close to my heart. when i got my pump i was having a very bad emotional AND physical time of things, and she was the only person who really believed in me & was the only person who was there every second of every day <3
I’m kinda funny with my names… they have human names… my animas ping, which is pink, is Sophia and my dexcom which sports a pretty pink skin, is Olivia… I don’t have kids yet, but those two things demand almost as much attention as a child would so, that’s why they’re named like they are! LOL
I had a name for my pump in the first day I got her. It’s Chica, a Portuguese name, since I am Portuguese. She goes everywhere with me. She takes care of me. She’s always with me. She even talks with me, stuff like low insulin, low batteries, ahahahah
I just had to give her a name. It’s Chica!
my CGM is named Casanova as I’m in love with it. My animas ping (when it arrives) already has a name. It will be kermit as it is green :).
I named my ping Scout
When my daughter gets frustrated, she calls it “Stupid Thing!” but that’s it.
I call my pump YOU, as in Hey, YOU!! What are you trying to tell me now?? That’s also because it’s an MM, and my CGM communicates with it, so it has a lot of messages for me.
I named my pump J. Alfred Pumprock.
also known as J or J Alfred for short.
