You want to be careful with those magnetic cables. I’ve tried two different brands and they both eventually fell apart, leaving a broken bit lodged in the charging port. Was able to get one out with tweezers, but wasn’t so lucky the second time it happened. Had to solder a piece of scrap metal to it just so I had something to grip. Thankfully, I had the tools I needed on hand. No more magnetic cables for me, though. I learned my lesson!

I’ve had the magnets on the cable break and stick to the plug. That can prevent it making a connection. Sometimes the broken pieces are small enough that it isn’t obvious. I’ve put my phone on a charger, come back a few hours later and find it hasn’t charged. I’ve never had a piece get into the plug itself. I will definitely check for pieces before pulling the plug out.
I’m talking about the same exact thing, but the opposite magnet half. Going to “unplug” the pump by pulling the magnet off, and the part that’s inside the plug port on the pump breaks apart. The magnets stay stuck together and stray metal but stay lodged in the pump.
I haven’t seen that. I’ve pulled the plug out with the cable, but it stays intact. I just got some newer cables and the plugs that came with it are definitely beefier.
