Hi fellow pumpers, I've had my Animas Ping for just under 2 months, and I LOVE it-so much better than multiple injections per day, in my opinion! :) I just recently learned about Diasend and was wondering how in the world do I get my belt clip off? It seems that the transmitter cannot read my serial number if the clip is on, so I tried to remove it with zero luck. I looked online on several sites, checked my user guide and even resorted to Youtube for help with no such luck. If anyone knows the secret of removing the belt clip, without breaking it, please let me know!
Hold the pump with the back facing you. There is a rounded tab at the top of the clip. Pull that tab, lightly, toward you. At the same time, with the thumb of your other hand push the clip up - towards the top. It may be a little stiff since it is new.
If it is the same as the Animas Vibe, the clip should have a protruding piece of metal coming out of the top (between the battery and cartridge area). With the back of the pump facing you, push the protruding metal tab towards you, and at the same time push the clip upwards (best using two hands - a finger on one hand to push the metal towards you, and your thumb on the other hand pushing the clip upwards).
As I say, this is for the Vibe, but would expect to be the same/similar.
Cheers
Ian
PS. the IR sensor is behind the clip. Diasend is excellent by the way, it contains stacks of information to help you trend the results. I am not sure what BG meter you use, but some will also allow you to upload BG results too (I have Aviva Expert). I would definitely recommend uploading both devices if possible :-)
