Seven Words of Wisdom for Diabetes: The Contest

I hope Manny won’t mind my posting this here. My first attempt at 7 words for life with the 'betes was:

Eat carefully. Test your sugar. CARRY BACKUPS.

What have you got for us? See details on my very geeky contest here:

I can’t wait to hear 'em!

Every day is different, not exact science

Pay attention. Lick your fingers. Move forward.

Laughing at lick your fingers.

As my Endo hounds me - exercise every day for 30 min

Great, Jeff. Can you post your entry under comments at http://www.diabetesmine.com/2008/03/the-seven-wor-2.html ?

Loves it…

Amy, it is done. thanks for the blog question.

Whatever you do, don’t freak out! I work in a restaurant and we say that all the time. It works for us when things get super-crazy and the entire dining room is hungry and we’re busier than a one-armed paper hanger. So, I adopted this mantra a few years back and applied it to my family life. My husband and I use it when talking to our kids. And, I use it daily with my diabetes. Because really, when your bloodsugar is high or low, freaking out is the WORST thing you should do…right?

The other one I use is keep your poop in a group. Staying organized with diabetes is crucial.

Hope these helped and made you smile.
