Sick day

Alarms were going off this morning. Seems like when I rolled over my alarm had been going off for 11 minutes before I heard. Cats were knocking stuff off in the night and I didn’t wake up. I roll over to see what time it is and I realize I am seeing double of everything. I can’t see straight. So I get up stumble over to my meter and check it. I am trying to focus, finally I get the strip in and I prick my finger and take forever in getting the blood in the strip. 5,4,3,2,1, (which I am see all the numbers twice) it say hi or for my eyes I see hi hi. I go get my roommate and tell him how much insulin to draw up as I can’t see the numbers. He draws it up I give myself a shot and I realize my head is pounding. I fumble around in my room and look for the numbers for work so I can call someone. The person that I get has no key to the gym so my roommate walks up to the gym and opens it for her and he sits there until she gets there and then comes home. Idiot me after I took the insulin shot I fell back in bed and went back to sleep when I should have stayed up to make sure I dropped, I didn’t even bother to check my urine for ketones. I woke up around 9 and still had a pounding headache and a sore throat and chest tightness. Checked my sugar in the 400’s range still to high, so I took more insulin and then called my doctor. They couldn’t get me in today so they told me to go to the local walk in clinic as the doctor there is a friend of my doctor and he knows my history pretty well. So up I go there and I am know in the 300’s so sugar is slowly coming down. Wait in the waiting room for 2 hours, finally see him. Find out I have sinus infection which I knew along I had. My main reason for going to Dr. was to get a note for work as we are short staffed right now and if I didn’t have a note they would make me work. So off I go with a prescription for antiobitcs, nasal spray, inhaler, and decongestants and a note stating I can’t work until Sat. Well Sat and Sun I am off so for the next 4 days it is sleep and school, can’t get behind in it and lose my 4.0.

I will try to be there round 7 central time. Glad you are feeling better and back to work.

Wow what a day! I’m glad you’re feeling better. Sinus infections are no fun. Do you get dry eyes too? Just wondering 'cause last spring I had a sinus infection and after that every spring I had to avoid the wind. Except this spring I was lucky, no dry eye.

mountain is an hour behind me

I just read this today… hope you’re ok now… take care always…
