Skin-tac question

I put a new pod on last night and after my shower this morning it fell off. I did not clean the area with soap and water before applying the pod, I just used alcohol..so maybe my thick and creamy lotion played into the equation.

Anyway, I always apply the Skin-tac (I use the wipes) to the adhesive area of the pod itself, that is how my Educator taught me. I noticed in the Skin-tac instructions it says to put the Skin-tac directly on the skin, they apply the pod.

What do you guys do??

Thanks!!

I've only had a pod fall off due to sweating. They've sometime almost fallen off in the shower, but usually hold tight after they dry. I do try to keep them out of the direct water in the shower. I'm thinking the hot water does have a slight affect on the pads. I don't use any other adhesive. I do occasionally use the 3M Tegaderm pads, when I'm in a high work (i.e. lots of sweat) situation.

Bottom line is, I think high heat + wet is difficult for the pods.

I use the liquid and put it on the pod adhesive too.

I put the skin tac directly on my skin. I have never had a problem other than, for some reason, it irritates my stomach skin. It is fine everywhere else!

I do both, on skin and on pod
and if I have put cream on prior I usually clean it with two schole swabs to make sure it`s all off

Like Lacey, I put the Skin-tac directly on my skin. I live in Houston and, in the summer, if I exercise, or even just walk a lot outside, it's hard to keep the pod on, even with the aid of the Skin-tac.

I just use alcohol (rubbing alcohol) in large quantities sprayed onto large cotton swabs.

I did have an adhesion problem once when I failed to let the alcohol evaporate completely.

Other than that the only way I've got pods to fall off is large amounts of sweat associated with having the pod under clothing that rubbed against it - lifting bags of cement with a weight belt directly over the pod. No problems with water for extended periods including warm-hot water in a shower.

I have the new Pod (am in the UK) and have had it just one month. We have however been on holiday to Crete for two weeks during that time and the pod stood up to showers, swimming in the sea and in a pool and of course the high heat. I don't use any additions, just the adhesive on the pod and they stay on for 3 days with no trouble.

Thanks everyone!!
