Started dexcom today!

I started using the seven plus this morning and so far so good. I have certainly found some discrepancies in the readings but all have been within 30 points which i can live with. i don’t feel the sensor at all which is different from my experience with pump infusion sets. I only ran across a five minute gap where the receiver wasn’t talking to the transmitter but we will see how that goes in the future. You can really get addicted to looking at the numbers though. It’s very cool to be able to see things in real time. Definitely glad I started. I can’t wait to see how things progress over the next 5 years or so.

Hi Eric! Great news! How is it going now?

I will do a Minimed CGMS trial on Wednesday.

It’s going very well. I can’t say the actual numbers are the most accurate thing in the world. I have found discrepancies as high as 60 points but what it does do very well is track up and down trends which is what it’s actual purpose is. If you don’t focus on what the bg numbers are (although mostly they are within 25 points) and just look at the rate of rise and fall you will get a lot of use out of it.
