Just started with the omnipod, and was just wondering…
Ladies, what’s the best spot for your pod to be placed that doesn’t get in the way when you’re trying to be intimate with your partner?
I’m still new so I keep worrying that my pod will come off or something if I move the wrong way…
I have found the arms are best!! Good luck!
I agree on the arms. Good all around.
Honestly, I have not had a problem no matter where I put it. It has never gotten in the way or been knocked off, in my experience.
I was just worried about the appearance of it. I don’t want it being a turn off for my husband when I have (what feels like) a huge pod on my arm. Lol
I realize you were primarily addressing the ladies, but I thought I would chime in that the back of the arms and the lower back/flank area don't really give me any trouble. She knows where it is (when she bumps against it) and manages to steer clear of it pretty well.
On the subject of appearance, I think that no matter what pump, your husband is going to love you. I will say that my gal has never once mentioned anything about "oh that's an eyesore" or "gosh I wish you wouldn't show me that thing". Your husband loves everything about you, including all of things that "make up you" (which would include a pump). It's not just a phone or some other thing that you think you need to be attached to--this thing helps you live. If I were him, I know I'd be happy to see that device and know that it is doing its job correctly to keep you safe.
Just my two cents. I'll let you ladies get back to the answering now ;-)
I'll chime in too, if it helps any. I don't think there is a good/bad place. It's just a thing to deal with. I'd also think it depends a lot of your "style", but worth experimenting with about anything. My wife and I have found that we have learned to just work around it.
Haha thanks for that! Nice to hear a guy’s perspective!
I’ll admit that the issue never has come up in my experience. I think where I wear mine on my arm will always be safe from any interference. FYI…pods GLOW in black lights…dont ask me how I know…lol
I agree with Bradford.
And I have not had more issues with any one site over another, but I have gotten close to getting it knocked off a few times. It seems we were focused on other things. :)
Lol black lights… I’ll have to try that
Ha ha!
Ok well…i haven’t tried with the new ones…lol Haven’t been back to that particular establishment since switching…lmao
I know I am not a woman. However, I wear a Pod and a CGM on my arm. Normally both on one unless I get caught out by timings, Omni being 3 days and the Navigator is 5 days. But I have to say that the arm is fine when it that particular scenario. Never had an issue. Its more the alarm going off on the CGM that kills the moment !!

I’m on this board because my daughter wears an Omnipod, my husband also has diabetes, (probably LADA, he was dxd at 34, managed with oral meds for years, he tests positive for autoantibodies, has another autoimmune disease, and now has a daughter with type 1) he wears a Dexcom and it doesn’t bother me a bit, granted it’s smaller, but seriously, I love the man.
I know I am not a woman.You know that?
