I’ve been lurking here for a few years now but this is my first post.
Type 1 approx 45 years, pumping for about twelve.
Currently using the Tandem Tslim and Dexcom G6. I just found out that G7 is not compatible with my pump here in Canada which came as a bit of a shock; it hadn’t ocurred to me that it would be different here. Silly me! I had assumed that switching to the latest version would be easy but sadly it appears that it will be quite difficult.
Has anyone here also encountered this situation?
Hi! I’m in the same boat, just waiting for the G7 to be approved for use with the Tslim. You probably know that the G7 is available in Canada, just not yet compatible with the pump
In the US the G7 is compatible with a download up to the pump. My guess is that Tandem has not yet cleared it for use in your country, it should get done fairly soon.
GG1, if you are a US customer, you can download and update software for your pump and the G7 will be compatible.
Yes, unfortunately Dexcom hasn’t recieved approval in Canada yet.
I didn’t think G7 was truly compatible with any insulin pumps at this time. I use G6 and Omnipod and had to inform Dexcom of that so they wouldn’t upgrade me to the G7.
G7 has been Tandem compatible since last December, when they announced the software update.
Omnipod G7 integration is not available yet but looks like it will be soon.
Received this update from Tandem late Aug. 2024 https://app.files.tandemdiabetes.com/e/es?s=1704016&e=5722&elqTrackId=efd74c1a1b7a40299e524d6e5aa03bea&elq=b56de39860ae454d9951d546af89b2b9&elqaid=287&elqat=1
