Thank all :)

I have been in the dark for so long because I turned my back on my diabetes. I'm not saying that I didn't take care of it, i just didn't listen to what my Doctor had to say about it. I was contempt to living in the past with my bottles of R and N, not learning any new stuff or sharing about my experiences but now here I am.

I am still in my closet about letting my friends know, and i maybe still there for a little while longer.

Since November I have a new diabetes doctor and and a nurse/educator. It was the first Doctor that stopped and listened to me and my concerns ( I was shocked) and between my doctor and my educator I still get to make decisions on my health.

Now I'm on lantus and novolog insulin which is the "first steps" to migrating to a pump. I also have my first carb counting class coming up next week too. I have to say I'm looking forward to it.

I also need to pick a pump too. Its the first time in my diabetic life that I felt like a little kid in the candy store trying to pick stuff out, I really fell good about it :)
I'm down to 2 choices: Ping or Minimed. I like the ping for discretion and privacy, the minimed for the extra 100 units it can carry. Im really leaning toward the ping.

In any case I just wanted to thank everybody for the support here, without it I would still be living in the past......

Master bs, It sounds like you're rocking! Glad to hear you're not just accepting this but also dealing with it. Please keep up updated on your progress.

Good for you, you've taken a huge step! I have a Ping and love it, it's a life-changing piece of tech.

Carb counting is a process, and an important one. Glad you're looking forward to it, and do keep us posted.

Sounds like you are ready to join us in 2012. Best of luck when you get the pump.
