Tips/Advice on Cleo insertion

Hi everyone -- I am new to the world of "luer locks" and "universal insertions sets". I just got the t-slim (not pumping with it yet) and chose the Cleo set as it is the most similar to my Medtronic Quick Set. I don't know if I am doing it incorrectly or not, seemed really difficult to get the purple e inserter part off without taking out the cannula. I don't know if I counted to five or not, but seemed long enough to get the adhesive to stick. Any tips?

Interesting, I thought Cleos were no longer being made since the unfortunate disappearance of the Cozmo?

I used Cleos for about two years after getting my first Cozmo pump. You are not doing it wrong, those things do not come off easily, and it's part of the reason I went for manual insertion and switched to Comforts. One tip I did get from a fellow pumper was to put the set in while the alcohol was still a bit damp, press HARD, count to ten, and then remove it slowly. This helps but the sets are still annoyingly prone to coming off with the inserter.

You should be able to buy a leur lock quick set. They still sell them for the old minimed 508 pumps

But assuming you cannot buy the leur lock quick set I would say the Ultraflex 1 http://www.diabetesdepot.ca/ultraflex-1-infusion-set.html

And the Orbit 90 http://www.diabetesdepot.ca/orbit-90-teflon-luer-lock-infusion-set.html are more similar to the quick set
