so i might be the last person to figure this out, but just thought i'd share!
i use uni-solve to help remove my pods with less trauma. following the instructions on the uni-solve wipe, i would saturate it and then use the wipe to kind of peel it off. it always left gobs of adhesive behind on my skin. (i use bard barrier wipes under the pod, so the gobs might have been from that.)
recently, i accidentally soaked the pod with the uni-solve and then left it alone and the pod literally fell right off! and left no gobs of adhesive behind... yay! who knew?
