Hi everyone,
I am wondering if anyone knows if there is a place to source a used or refurbished pump? I am a uninsured T1 and my Dr. has mentioned several times that he thinks I would benefit greatly from a pump. I agree but since I have no insurance and I don’t have 6 Grand…
Any suggestions?

Call the pump companies about getting financial assistance as well as refurbished pumps.

im sure they can help you with that… as a matter of fact, when i got my pump, i had to pay like 2000 bucks, thats after insurance coverage coz i think my insurance paid 4thousand plus for my pump and the balance i have it in a payment plan as the minimed agent suggested. it works for me though, its no interest anyways…
try to call minimed… i agree with your doctor, pump really makes a difference… been on shots for 19 years and control wasnt that good…

Check out iPump.org. I don’t think they are accepting applications right now, but it’s probably your best bet. It was started by another member here, Lahle Wolfe, so you could probably ask her if you have further questions.
