I received a push update from Verizon this morning that indicated it was to prepare for a version change. I understood this to not be an actual version change. Wrong. It broke the Bolus feature.
In looking at the compatibility for T:connect, it looks like only the Samsung S25s are supported in Android 15. The S23s are only Android 14. No indication when or if S23s will be supported.
Hmmm! I checked this on my iPhone a few minutes ago and you were right, āBolusā was missing. Powered my phone off/back on, still missing. Was complaining to my wife about this the noticed t:connect did a quick update. Eh voila! Itās baaack! Thanks Tandem!
There is a known problem with the G7 sensors not powering up when inserted. There is a magnet on the applicator device that is supposed to activate the battery. The easiest fix I have found is to place the device on the sensor and rotate a couple of times.
What is odd, when this happens I my Tandem T;Slim pump pairs but not the phone. That just doesnāt sound possible to my technician brain.
Now the Verizon update may be at fault. You need to take that up with Tandem as I doubt my former employers will let you contact the right people.
Just experienced this because (gasp!) my Samsung is over a year old and not an S25, so no more bolus feature on the mobile app, making it essentially useless (I use a different phone app to track bg from my dex cgm). Iām always leery of these āupgrades.ā And for good reason, like this.
Sorry, I was on a trip to Sacramento area to deliver a Sky Shed POD to my stepson. On the trip, I was notified that my S23Ultra was now approved to do a bolus. I donāt recall which day it was, it was after the start of May 1st and before the end of May 6th. Iāve been using my S23Ultra this week with good success.
