What lancet device do you like?

There are so many. I need to find a good one. Thanks!

I like Accu-Chek MultiClix. They are extremely sharp and they come in a drum of 6 lancets. You never have to touch them and they are totally disposable in the trash.

I only have experience with two - the one that came with the one-touch mini, and the Accu-Check MultiClix.

I like the MultiClix much better. It feels more solid in the hand, and there’s no exposed needle at all. In comparison, the One Touch one seems really poor quality, kind of like a toy out of a bubble gum machine if you know what I mean.

a lot of us here love the multiclix - here is a little discussion we had about it. Since using mine now for about a year, my fingers are all healed in spite of testing 8-10 times a day…

I am a multiclix man. Gosh that sounds almost rude doesn’t it? LOL, anyway I have used most and I always suggest multiclix to the people who ask me.

I like the renew–20 pokes per cartridge–best one for me–and to my delight my insurance actually covers it!

they have a free sample so you can try it:

MultiClix here too! I have several other lancets from those “FREE” meter kits I pick up, but they all feel cheap to me. I like how solid it feels and how easy it is to load the lance barrel. I also love the pen-style “click” to set the device. Sure it’s bigger than most other devices but at least I don’t have to change the lancet each and every time I test.

I’ll keep the others “just in case” but my choice is the multiclix.

i use my accu-chek soft-clix with both of my meters  the one touch device that came with my ultra-smart is pure crap

OK, all together now . . . THE ONE THAT DOESN’T HURT! Sorry, I couldn’t resist. For me it’s multiclix.

I am absolutely loving my MultiClix. They don’t hurt me, take a relatively small blood sample, and convenient. I haven’t yet thrown the discs in the trash, and they are hard to fit in disposable sharps container, but I can’t say enough about these!

Ill agree, I shelved the thing that came with the ultra smart and got the Accu-Chek MultiClix. I like the drums, with 4 kiddos about, i like the needles being “in their builtin sharps container”

It just works so much better as well.

It’s not the just the device, it’s the device AND the lancet. MultiClix is great, and you can re-use each of the 6 lancets a few times before advancing the drum to the next position.
But us cheapskates have another option: We can also use the “cheapo” shooters which come with the One-Touch and Freestyle and etc. meters, but replace that “fat”, painful lancets!

IIRC, One-Touch says on the box that their lancets are “ultra-thin” or “ultra-fine” or something like that, but they’re actually about 25 gauge. Which feels sorta like using one of the nail-ripper forks of a big old claw hammer on the side of your finger, of course it hurts!

But these “owwie, owwie” devices work great and comfy when matched up with the BD-Ultra-Fine 33 gauge lancets. It’s not the brand, it’s the lancet size-- 33 gauge creates MUCH less pain. The freestyle-provided device is the smallest to carry, so that’s the one I use usually use.

Love the Multiclix above all my others!

(And, like Rickst29 said, with most of the other devices, my choice would be the BD 33 gauge lancets over the lancets that are intended for the devices. In my spare devices, like my Freestyle one, I just jam the little BD rounded pegs in the little Freestyle square holes and it works fine.)

I have two multiclixes - one in my purse and one on my nightstand. That seems to do the trick!

Another for the MultiClix!

Of course you said from a previous discussion that you dont change lancets. I am taking it that you have used the same lancet and lancet device for weeks, now. LOL

Thanks Everyone!
