Low Carb FlatBread Pizza

Here is one of my new low carb recipes. Even my son liked it. Some of you may recall my famous “Brian’s Pizza Pie Pie.” This new recipe uses a flatbread (like a wrap), in particular a product called FlatOut Light which is available in many grocery stores. As you can see below it is low in carbs and high in fiber with 7 net grams per flatbread.

Brian’s Flat Pizza

Ingredients
Flatout
Tomato, spaghetti or pizza sauce (without sugar please)
Shredded mozzarella, Parmesan or Grana Padano cheese
Italian seasoning

Preparation
Preheat oven to 350 deg F
Put flatout on cookie sheet and bake 1 minute
Take out of oven, sauce lightly, add toppings, seasoning and cheese
Return to oven for 4-7 minutes until edges get brown and cheese is all melted

I make mine with a “lot” of toppings. So one is a whole meal.

I make flatbread pizza too. Mine usually has a topping of home made basil pesto, prawns, olives and cheese. Sometimes smoked salmon instead of prawns.
