@Judith_In_Portland there are multiple ways to get to the community category. click on the “hamburger” (yes that’s what it’s called) it’s that 3 stacked bars next to your avatar picture in the upper right. then click on “Categories” and scroll down a bit and you’ll see “community”
btw all the blogs from the old site went to the Community Category, Share Your Stories Subcategory.
also if you’re looking for things, click the magnifying glass next to the Hamburger. The search function here actually works really well, you could click on that and enter “community category” and it’s the first thing found
I’ve just gotten another email from Reed @SEAGATOR1 - He’s thoroughly confused as you can imagine. I’ve told him to please check in here and sent him a link to this topic. I said we are all trying to help each other and that the team is working on fixing things. The important thing is WE ARE HERE and we’ve spent years together laughing and crying, soothing, mourning, adjusting. WE CAN DO THIS and WE WILL. Personally I love this community and am not going to give up or throw in the towel. It’s the people here I love.
He’s also asking for @kathy and @Pauly - and guess what? He wants to make sure new members are being welcomed. lol. in case you didn’t hear, Emily and the staff have that on their list to do, just right now they have other things more pressing and we aren’t approving new members yet (they are being held).
Pauly this is what I’ve set up to be the @SEAGATOR1 page, since we don’t have comment areas on separate pages and so many of us used to check in with Reed at least several times a week. Here we can all see what the “friends of reed” are up to, and I hope when he is able to get back on, and the website is completely unified, he’ll be happy to see us all here.
So, I’ve been learning all about our new site here, helping when I can if someone needs it, and of course baking like mad! I just went to the endo today and my a1c was really good and I didn’t gain any weight. WOOO. Had a desire for a Big Mac when I got out of his office, but I went straight home. I don’t have any idea why that happened, I haven’t had a Big Mac in probably 25 years. the weather is warming up here and my neighbor said they spotted the first hummingbird today. I’d better get out the feeders and make some nectar for them, hoping for a better summer of hummers here.
@SEAGATOR1 sent me an email this morning while I was sitting in the doctor’s office, he said he’s been on, but he’s looking for his friends and other familiar sights, I’m going to let him know we are waiting for him to reply here. hopefully we’ll hear from him today!!
tomorrow is Reed’s birthday. I know he’d like to get LOTS of greetings. I’m going to see if I can get him to look at this topic one more time but if I am unsuccessful, leave your birthday messages here and I’ll make sure he gets them by email.
Well Reed I have been totally lost with the new site and found my way here by accident. I know you are still having health problems but I hope you will soon be able to come on here and see all your friends who are just waiting to hear from you. Take care my friend. Tricia xx
I’ve been here trying to find people & this is all very discouraging. When I joined here this was a fun place to meet & talk with people. Now I can’t even track my friends down Have kept in touch via other social media with many of them. My page no longer makes sense to me. Most of it has old info from years ago. Now my life has changed & I don’t have the time to sift thru all this & search for my friends. Just know you’re all in my thoughts & prayers. Stay well.
